Unit 5 - Part 1

Stamps, tokens, parcels, telegrams. Mother which line should we take?

You can read: stamps, tokens, fax, telegrams. There, we must send a telegram to grandmother. The is the line for sending telegrams.

What can we write to grandmother?

I know. "Hi grandmother. It's good in Israel. It is important to learn Hebrew. It is nice to live in Ashdod. One can work at the market place and one can go to the sea shore."

Yuri, why only "good", "nice", "possible"? One should also write about that which is not good, disagreeable, impossible.

O.k.! "Hi grandmother! It is good in Israel, but it is difficult to go to school with the Israeli kids. During summer it is hot, and it is disagreeable."

What is this? This is a letter and not a telegram. I don't want to write a letter. I want a telegram. I've got a problem, I need a driving license quickly, and my license is in Russia. Could we write: Hi grandmother. It is good in Israel. How are you? I need a driving license, and my driving license is in Russia. Please send me quickly to the address:
Gurewitch Family, 28 Achad-Haam Street, Ashdod.
Shalom and thanks,
Michael
